Projects :/

Awkward Now:

I hate it when a teacher decides to give the class a project with no warning. It's just like disrespectful. I mean we are the ones doing the least you could do is give us a heads up. Then they decide that they will let fate decide who your partner is by seeing whose piece of paper matches whose.
And everyone is silently hoping to get one of their friends but does is ever happen? Of course not. Then here you are siting next to someone who could be a perfect stranger. But then you remember you've had classes together since 4th grade. and you used to friends before they became popular and started down the path of life where sports are everything, so the only friends they have are the sporty people and the party goers. And you're partnered up with them. At this point you both feel awkward. But of course, one more than the other. (that's me ;) ) Popular people tend to deal with these situation more smoothly.
At this point I am trying to be as smooth as I can without making my partner feeling super awkward too. But that never works because I over think my awkwardness thus making my awkward known to everyone within a two desk radius.
So my partner, Rachael, starts asking me questions about my opinion on our presentation. And all I can do is say, "yeah, I like it...", "yeah, I think it's pretty good for our first time making one of these [Prezi Presentations]". It's like my whole vocabulary either disappears where I have to say yeah in every sentence or my vocabulary has to be known to everyone and all I can say is long words that nobody knows the meanings to.. not even me.

Awkward Then But Funny Now:

In my art class there is a lot of different kind of people; the jocks, the popular cheerleader, the Japanese speaking conflicted girl, a girl who is sometimes over emotional but I still like her, she is very nice, a bunch of normal kids and then theres me and Kelley. Kelley and I are normal on the outside but exploding with enthusiasm and crazy on the inside, Kelley shows it more than I do on the outside. Kelley is one of my best friends, we have been friends since 6th grade and our friendship works very well. She talks, I listen and give a few inputs with my opinion. Kelley's life is more interesting than mine anyway.

It seems like any awkward moment that could happen to a person usually happens to me. I was in art class, about a month ago. We were working on our clay projects. There's that word again...project. smh. Class was going to be over in about ten minutes and Kelley and I were cleaning up our stations. I went into the backroom to place my clay cupcake on one of the shelf to store it for another day. When I squatted down to place it on a bottom shelf. One of my classmates, a tall jock to be exact, comes up behind me and as he is placing his clay project directly three shelves above me. He says, "On top of you." In the most casual voice there is. "On top of you". How does a person say that without laughing? I could barely hold in my laughter.
